AGROMORE RODINE

WHAT AGROMORE RODINE DOES: Scale (mill scales, oxides, etc.) that would be detrimental in fabricating or finishing steel is removed by the action of acid – usually sulphuric or hydrochloric. The acid attacks the sub-scales, dissolving layers between the true metal and the outer scale. The hydrogen evolved there develops sufficient pressure to blow off the scale. However unless the acid is effectively inhibited, it will continue to attack the metal itself. AGROMORE RODINE prevents the acid from needlessly dissolving the metal, as proven by tests.

HOW AGROMORE RODINE IS USED: Small quantities of the proper grade of AGROMORE RODINE are added to the acid when pickling baths are made up, and whenever it becomes necessary to replenish the bath with fresh acid maintaining the optimum strength.

* Agromore Rodine Saves Needless Waste of pickling acid and Metal

AGROMORE RODINE SAVES ACID: When AGROMORE RODINE is added to the pickle bath, acid is not wasted in destroying good metal. A given amount of acid will clean a greater tonnage and conversely, less acid is required to pickle a given weight of metal. Acid savings range from 10 to 25 kgs per 100 square meters pickled.

AGROMORE RODINE SAVES METAL

AGROMORE RODINE:prevents acid from needlessly dissolving metal. For example, wire and coiled strip, pickled with AGROMORE RODINE as compared with less effective inhibitors, are large in diameter or thicker, and when drawn or rolled to the finished gauge the coils are longer and correspondingly heavier. Sheets pickled in acid inhibited with AGROMORE RODINE, come out of the pickle bath with smooth surfaces free from pits, blisters and smut.

Production is increased by inhibiting pickle baths with AGROMORE RODINE, because less tonnage is wasted in pickling and, as a result, more metal is a available after pickling.

*Agromore Rodine pays for itself Many Times Over

AGROMORE RODINE IMPROVES PICKLING

AGROMORE RODIEN:Improves the quality of the pickled product. Uniform pickling is obtained under varying conditions and smooth, bright, clean surfaces are produced. Many alloy steels can be pickled along with low-carbon steels without either becoming discolored. Reduced hydrogen evolution is an indication that less metal is dissolved, less pitting , smutting and over –pickling occur. Blistering of sheets and embitterment are minimized. Because of its May beneficial properties and its ability to improve pickling, the use of AGROMORE RODINE has become standard practice by picklers throughout the world.

AGROMORE RODINE CUTS PICKLING COSTS

*Pickling with AGROMORE RODINE conserves appreciable amounts of metal, acid and heat.

*Baths containing AGROMORE RODINE can be operated longer and less acid is required to keep them at a desired concentration.

*Handling and storing of acid are reduced.

*Substantial savings are made in lessened rejections.

*Labour costs in charging and cleaning pickle baths are reduced, and the quantity of spent liquor to dispose of is considerably lessened.

ADDED ADVANTAGES OF USING AGROMORE RODINE

*Over –pickling blistering and pickle burning is eliminated.

*Breakage in drawing due to acid brittleness is minimized.

*Batch pickling over a wide range of acid concentration and temperature is made possible.

*Pickling plant is not contaminated with noxious corrosive gases.

*Tendency of metal to rust after pickling is reduced.

*Absence of pitting and the smoother surface obtained saves expensive coating metal in electrolytic tinning and galvanizing.

GRADES OF AGROMORE RODINE

There is grade of AGROMORE RODINE for every steel pickling problem, depending upon the kind of acid used, nature of steel and the scale or incrustation to be removed. The characteristics and uses of some of the current grades of AGROMORE RODINE are given below.
