Principal's Welcome Address
As a parent, a teacher or a concerned citizen, preparing our children for what life throws at them is our main concern. In this school we prepare the children by providing a learning environment that nurtures excellence in each and every one of them. Keeping in mind that every child is different, we have developed a curriculum that is open-minded while at the same time being structured and rigorous. Our program is research based and is constantly evolving, while incorporating best practices from around the world. Keeping in mind the significant progress in our understanding of the child's brain, our program concentrates on basic skills: reading, writing (expressing themselves), listening, speaking and logical thinking. This is the time (ages 5-10) to lay a solid foundation for these basic skills. We continue building these skills, as the child grows older, with experiential learning (touch and feel) to develop their independent thinking and group activities to develop social skills. Music, art and sports are not considered extracurricular activities in our program and is a must for every child's overall development. We also have a school honor code to inculcate good behavior such as mutual respect, believing in one's and other's abilities, responsibility, honesty, respecting and following safety rules etc. We are also mindful that learning does not end at school, involving parents and the community will go a long way in preparing the right environment for the child. We conduct workshops to coach parents build this environment for the growth and development of the child at home. I call upon all parents, teachers and concerned citizens to join hands in creating an environment the fosters excellence in children.
