Middle School

Middle School curriculum continues to build on the foundation laid down during Elementary education program on mathematics, reading, writing and social skills. Its for children aged between 11 and 13 years. Science is now three separate subjects, delving into Physics, Chemistry & Biology and preparing then for secondary school (9th & 10th). Social Studies is two separate subjects, expanding the scope in History-Civics and Geography.

We continue to emphasize on building a strong base for students in math, reasoning, reading, writing and physical skills, while promoting creative thinking.

6th Grade

The Main subjects in 6th Grade are Mathematics, Computer Studies, English (Language & Literature), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History-Civics, Geography, Arts, Kannada and 3rd Language  

English

1. Blend sounds into recognizable words
2. Segment words into individual sounds
3. Read with sufficient fluency and accuracy, level 6 books, with the purpose of understanding.
4. Demonstrates understanding of lessons & poems by writing answers to questions.
5. Able to write 1-2 paragraph answers and make own sentences with given words/phrases with proper punctuation. Also able to write a 150-200 word essay to introduce a topic/pic personal experience magazine article, notice, dialog and a personal/formal letter.
6. Demonstrate Speaking & listening skills by debating & answering questions by taking dictation of a seen/unseen passage and answering questions.
7. Proper use of Punctuations: full stop, capitalize sentences, dates, names dialogs and titles. Use of comma in sentences & apostrophe in singular & plural possessive, nouns & in contraction and relative clause (comma).
8. Understand sentence structure (sub., predicate, object, phrases & clauses), types of sentences: simple, complex & compound, convert direct to indirect speech and active to passive., nouns: revise, pronouns: number, person, indefinite & reflexive, adverbs:usage & degree of adverbs, adjectives : types (qualitative, quantitive, interrogative, demostrative, possessive, comparative, participle, attrbutive & predicative) , emphasizing & relative clauses, article: 'the' 'an' & 'a', preposition: phrases conjunctions: correlative (both-and, either-or, neither-nor), verb: subject-verb agreement (cocord), transitive & intransitive, regular & irregular, shift in verb tense, gerunds, 'to' infinitive, present, past, future, present & past participle, future perfect tense., Apostrophe: usage in sigular & plural possessive, identifies simile, compound words, synonyms, opposites and rhyming words, Expressions: Collocation & Binomial.

7th Grade

The Main subjects in 7th Grade are Mathematics, Computer Studies, English (Language & Literature), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History-Civics, Geography, Arts, Kannada and 3rd Language

1. Read with sufficient fluency and accuracy, level 7 books, with the purpose of understanding.
4. Demonstrates understanding of lessons & poems by writing answers to questions.
5. Able to write 1-3 paragraph answers and make own sentences with given words/phrases/expression with proper punctuation. Also able to write a 200-300 word essay to introduce a topic/pic personal experience magazine article, notice, dialog and a personal/formal letter.

  7.
