Tips for parenting

Supporting learning at home

Create a learning space

A space used every day, free of distractions — a separate room or behind a separator, quiet and comfortable (table, chair, good light), stocked with essentials: pens, pencils, erasers, textbooks, notebooks.

A daily, predictable routine

Snack after school, a short rest, quiet time (1–2 hrs) for schoolwork, then outdoor play. Dinner, a little TV, a book before bed — and lights out by 9:30. Children need at least 8–10 hours of sleep; keep sleep times regular regardless of relatives, TV or other distractions.

Work with the teachers

Schedule time with teachers through the office to understand what is expected of your child. Use Google Classroom to check homework and due dates, and come to meetings with specific questions.

Make reading a habit

A book before bed, never sleeping to the TV. Choose books at the right level — if a child can’t understand more than five words on a page, the book is too hard. Read recipes while cooking; put your child in charge of the grocery list.

What to pack for snack and lunch

Never skip breakfast. Nursery–UKG: a snack box of finger food — biscuits, nuts, carrot or cucumber strips, sliced fruit, or a small sandwich. Grades 1–10: a nutritious lunch box as well. Add a water bottle, spoon and a clean napkin; keep portions modest, and write your child’s name on the bag.

Uniform and dress code

Prescribed uniform only: clean t-shirt, shorts/skirt/pants, white socks, school jacket, polished shoes and ID card, with a handkerchief every day. No torn clothes or socks, nail polish, long earrings, mehandi, toys or trinkets. Nursery–UKG: send a full change of clothes. Girls plait long hair with a black band; boys trim regularly. Name on every inside tag.

Health issues and safety

Please keep your child home with any fever or infection — it protects every other child. Tell the school about allergies that need monitoring. The school handles minor injuries and calls you at once if more is needed — keep at least two parent phone numbers and your email address current with the office.

Leave application
  • 90% attendance is mandatory — take leave only when necessary, like illness, and plan trips during holidays.
  • Submit leave by the online form (with a verified email address) or a signed letter from the parent or guardian on file — unsigned applications are rejected.
  • Check the school calendar, and Google Classroom for FA/SA test schedules, before taking planned leave.

Uniform

Check sizes before you buy — photographs of every garment with its measurements, for girls (t-shirts and skirts) and boys (t-shirts, pants and shorts). Garments are available through the school office.

Our families

One community, twice painted

Two portraits of the same idea — the five petals of our emblem, and everyone who gathers inside them: parents, grandparents, teachers, and every kind of family.
